The Sanford Pediatrics team is here for you!
At Sanford Pediatrics, we strive to provide quality pediatric care in a welcoming environment where parents and pediatricians are partners. Sanford Pediatrics cares for patients from birth till 21 years of age, providing both preventative care and acute sick care.
We believe an important role as the Primary Care Provider is to ensure patients receive and understand the importance of coordinating care across providers enabling whole child care and ensuring every child receives the services and care needed to have the best possible health outcomes.
Sanford Pediatrics has provided care for the greater Sanford community for over 40 years.
When your child visits our office, they will see a AAP Board Certified pediatrician. We believe this level of training provides optimum care specifically for children.
Located near downtown Sanford, we are close to home. We have extended evening office hours and Saturday morning hours for acutely sick patients.
Sanford Pediatrics practices evidence based medicine and is recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient Centered Medical Home. In addition, we are BQPP-certified providers with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, indicating recognition for the highest level of quality patient care.
Sanford Pediatrics practices an Advanced Care Team approach, including a case manager (Sarah, RN) and care coordination manager (Fabiola, Care Manager) as well as nutritional and health coach (Anita, LPN).
We also maintain close working relationships and have co-management agreements with certified providers outside of our practice for identified needs for therapies such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, counseling, behavioral health services, and other aspects of patient care.
Sanford Pediatrics encourages and support good oral and dental health for all our patients by providing oral health exams, and recommended periodic applications of dental fluoride varnish at age-appropriate times. Fluoride varnish is recommended beginning at tooth eruption until 3.5 years of age in the primary care setting.
In addition, we also recommend that all our patents see their primary dentist for routine, regular care as a component of our whole-child approach to care.
For after hours advice that is urgent and cannot wait until the next business day, a pediatrician is on call 365 days a year. Our office utilizes the UNC Chapel Hill nurse triage services as well. Please see contact numbers below. For life threatening emergencies call 911.
Our board-certified pediatricians are dedicated to partnering with parents and children for all of their healthcare needs. We ask that you choose a preferred provider, but you are welcome to see any physician based on schedule availability.
